Paris? Non merci. When it comes to French getaways, the South of France should be the only destination on your horizon. From the oft-forgotten spots and scene-stealing big hitters, to the routes between them by road, rail and sea, there’s no shortage of places to visit. The venue can be found squarely between Nice and Marseille, the perfect spot to explore both the Côte d’Azur and Provence. The choice is yours. To make the most of your time in the South of France, Agnès and Jean-Christophe have put together this helpful map, marking the venue, airports, and the cities (Provence in Purple, the Riviera in Blue) not to be missed, along with a few guides to help you decide where to spend your time.

The hometown of Agnès and much of Jean-Christophe’s family, Nice is a city close to both of their hearts. As home to one of the major airports in the area, there is a solid chance that you might find yourself with time to spend here. If that is the case, here is a little guide for those who have never been and are looking to make the most of their time in Nissa La Bella.

Known to many as the French Riviera, the Côte d’Azur is known the world over for its glamour and beauty. Nice, Monaco, Cannes, Antibes… the list goes on and on. These coastal jewels are strung along dramatic hills adorned with vineyards and olive groves. With so much to choose from, it might seem overwhelming, but rest assured there are no wrong choices.

The Côte d’Azur’s neighbor to the west, Provence is famed for its lavender fields, Rhône wine, and historic towns and cities. The formal home of the Pope for over a hundred years, Provence is one of the most popular regions in France to visit. While it is far too large to visit over the course of a few days, there is plenty within distance of the wedding venue that you could choose to spend your time.
